Platinum-selling rock band Drowning Pool will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark debut album Sinner in 2026 with a deluxe, expanded edition and a North American anniversary tour, as confirmed by guitarist C.J. Pierce in recent interviews.

Released in 2001, Sinner catapulted Drowning Pool into mainstream recognition, achieving platinum certification in just six weeks. The album’s explosive lead single, “Bodies,” became one of the most played music videos by a debut band on MTV and remains a hard rock anthem to this day.
🎸 Deluxe Sinner Anniversary Release Coming in 2026
Pierce revealed that the band is working on a deluxe, expanded edition of Sinner featuring unreleased music, demos, and never-before-seen video footage of the band from their early days — including performances, tour clips, and rare moments featuring the band’s original vocalist Dave Williams, who tragically passed away in 2002.
“We have songs with Dave that were never recorded professionally… and we’d love to finish and release those,” said Pierce. “It’s all about honoring Dave — the foundation of our sound — and finally sharing what fans haven’t heard.”
The deluxe release is expected to include:
- Rare demos and alternate versions of “Bodies,” “Tear Away,” and more
- Unreleased tracks like “The Game” and “Break You”
- A Beatles cover (“Day Tripper”) sung by Dave Williams
- Archival video content from early tours with Sevendust, Kittie, and (HED) P.E.
- Collectible physical formats, including posters, signed CDs, and memorabilia from Dave Williams’ era
🗓️ North American Sinner 25th Anniversary Tour
Drowning Pool will also hit the road in 2026 for a massive anniversary tour, celebrating their debut record by performing Sinner in its entirety — along with unreleased songs and deep cuts fans have never heard live.
“We definitely want to tour the U.S. first in 2026, and then head to Europe the following year,” Pierce confirmed. “We want to play Sinner front to back — and beyond that, bring out material we’ve never performed live.”
Songs being considered for live debut include:
- “Heroes Sleeping” – the last song written with Dave Williams
- “Break You” – from The Scorpion King soundtrack
- “The Game” – Motörhead cover done for Triple H
- Additional unreleased songs from their early pre-Sinner days
🎶 New Music & Live Comeback with Ryan McCombs
The band has also reignited their recording efforts with vocalist Ryan McCombs, who officially rejoined Drowning Pool in 2023 after a 13-year hiatus. Together, the band released:
- “Madness” (April 2024)
- “Revolution (The Final Amen)” (September 2024)
These singles mark the first new material from the original McCombs lineup since 2010.
🌍 Upcoming Festival Appearances & 2025 U.K./Ireland Tour
Before the anniversary celebrations kick off in 2026, Drowning Pool will perform at several major festivals and headline a U.K. and Ireland tour with Spineshank and (HED) P.E. this November.
2025 Tour & Festival Highlights:
- Inkcarceration Festival – July 18, 2025
- Alcatraz Festival (Belgium) – August 2025
- U.K. & Ireland Tour – November 2025
🕊️ Remembering Dave Williams
Dave “Stage” Williams’ charismatic presence and powerful voice helped define Drowning Pool’s early sound. His sudden passing in August 2002, shortly after the band’s set at Ozzfest, left a void in the metal world.
“We want to celebrate everything Dave helped create — the songs, the shows, the energy,” said Pierce. “This anniversary is for him and for the fans who’ve been with us since day one.”
